Periodontology or Periodontics is the speciality of dentistry dealing with management of diseases and conditions affecting the supporting structures of teeth. The department of periodontics was commenced in the year 2015 along with undergraduate program consisting of 50 BDS graduates. The department imparts clinical training along with academic education for apt management of patients. The department has good out patient flow with well qualified faculties with post graduate degree catering to their needs. The department offers state of the art dental facilities from scaling, root planning, local drug delivery, splinting, gingivectomy, flap surgery, mucogingival surgery, and other advanced periodontal surgical procedures . All sterilisation protocols are strictly followed with advanced equipments to ensure patient safety.
The department is equipped with 18 dental chairs and sufficient number of ultrasonic scalers. It has all latest equipments pertaining to the field of Periodontics and 3 Autoclave units for sterilization . The department Air-conditioned and is also equipped internet facility.
